Women Entrepreneurship Development Program

United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) with colaboration of Pakistan Stone Development Company (PASDEC) and Star marble (mother company of stone plus style) conducting Marble Mosaic training under Women Entrepreneurship Development (WED) program for individuals or for institutes time to time under slogan ” to empower women” Marble Mosaic Training Programs were initiated for females to encourage them to participate in marble sector, and to support dynamic women enterprising activities to generate employment & a rural labor market to produce high value products of marble and granite such as marble mosaics.

UNIDO Main objective includes:

  • Capacity building of women Entrepreneurs
  • Establishment of a Business Growth Center
  • Conducting sensitive value chain engineering
  • Linking universities with industry
  • Strengthening industrial institutions

Star marble conduct training programs with support of UNIDO for a month or two under supervision of professional trainers, star marble also provide materials and tools and can provide complete learning environment to women by keeping cultural values, upon completion of training program trainees gets certifications from UNIDO and then can start their own business as an entrepreneur or can become mosaic trainers  for our institutes but if they are bound at home as per there will and business need we provide materials at their door step or they can get material, tools etc from factory as well, We actively participate in different exhibitions with support of UNIDO to display end products in local or international market in that way we promote our skilled trainees.

One of the strategic aim of joint venture is to develop another segment of values chain by introducing standardization in the marble mosaic sector which will directly target the lack of availability of raw material for women entrepreneurs, A fixed price per kilogram of marble mosaic pieces will be set by UNIDO, PASDEC and star marble which will set the market standard. Instead of purchasing tiles and cutting them into smaller pieces, women entrepreneurs will be able to buy marble pieces at a fixed rate. Raw material will be available in the following forms
